David Frankel Joins QuarterSoft as Chief Scientist; Industry Expert Joins Core Management Team

QuarterSoft, Inc. is pleased to announce that noted software industry expert David Frankel will be joining the firm as Chief Scientist, reporting directly to QuarterSoft co-founder and Chief Corporate Strategist, Michael Guttman.

QuarterSoft specializes in commercializing the software assets of corporate IT departments.

Frankel comes to QuarterSoft with more the twenty years of experience in architecture, modeling, and design of enterprise and e-business systems and applications.

As Chief Scientist, Frankel will spearhead QuarterSoft's use of software architecture and modeling to help commercialize and standardize the software assets of such industries as financial services, insurance, health care, and telecommunications.

He is author of the upcoming book "Model Driven Architecture: Applying MDA to Enterprise Computing" which is based on his contributions to defining MDA within the Object Management Group (OMG). A frequent conference keynote speaker, Frankel has also regularly contributed to a wide variety of software industry publications and journals.

Previously, Frankel served as Chief Consulting Architect for systems vendor IONA Technologies Inc., reporting to the CTO. Prior to his tenure at IONA, Frankel was Chief Scientist at Genesis Development Corporation, a consultancy specializing in software architecture and component-based development that was subsequently acquired by IONA.

While at IONA and Genesis, Frankel served on the OMG's prestigious Architecture Board.
