NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2003

"Maroon 5 is on the brink of success. At their Irving Plaza sell-out,

the quintet offered a firebrand show that packed arena rock power

into a small club." Dan Aquilante -- New York Post

Years of life on the road and a strong word of mouth have blazed a trail of respect for rock outfit Maroon 5 whose debut album "Songs About Jane" has become "must have" for those in the know. Recently reaching new heights at radio with the hit single "Harder To Breathe" and newly fueled by rave live reviews the band will tour with Matchbox 20 and Sugar Ray on April 25 and then co-headline dates with Jason Mraz in June. Following this, Maroon 5 will join Grammy winner John Mayer and The Counting Crows for an amphitheater tour in July.

Maroon 5's first single "Harder to Breathe" from their soul-stirring, rock album "Songs About Jane" (Octone/J) is being heralded as one of the biggest reaction records at radio this year. The video for the single has also snatched up impressive steady rotation on VH1, and the band just performed on the ABC late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Fronted by Adam Levine's captivating voice and swaggering attitude, and backed by powerhouse players James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick, Maroon 5 blends elements of soul into their rock & roll songs. Critics have declared "'Songs About Jane' as more fun that anything Prince has done in years." (Larry Katz, The Boston Globe) Maroon 5 played their first show at The Whisky in Los Angeles in 1995. This year and a half alone, Maroon 5 has played more than 200 live dates -- raising the roof at venue after venue for sold out headlining dates and cultivating a groundswell of loyal fans.
