Graduate Program in Intellectual Property Law Again in Top 10; U.S. News' Survey Gives High Marks to Santa Clara University Law School

The intellectual property law program at Santa Clara University School of Law has been recognized as among the top 10 in the country for the sixth year in a row, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The program, which provides training in numerous areas of high tech and intellectual property law, including patent, copyright, antitrust, technology licensing and Internet law, was ranked ninth. Similar programs at Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley were also in the top 10.

In addition to its J.D. program, the School of Law offers specialty certificates in high tech law, international law, and public interest law, as well as master's degrees in intellectual property and international law. The university also offers a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree. Santa Clara University School of Law, fully accredited by the American Bar Association, had a 40 percent jump in applications this year.

The rankings were published this week in U.S.News &World Report on its Web site and in a special annual "Best Graduate Schools" publication. The rankings are based on reputation, student selectivity, faculty resources, and research activity.
