NextPage(R) Technology Provides Access For Sales and Claims Staff
to Information on Health Facts, Benefits and Processing as well
as Company Practices and Policies
NextPage Inc. today announced that Green Shield Canada has deployed NXT(TM) 3 to enable its health benefits sales and claims staff to enhance their efficiency when communicating and dealing with customer inquiries.
The company is using NXT 3 to provide its claim professionals with a user-friendly information management system to access information accurately and efficiently. Strict security controls have been developed to provide the necessary confidentiality with access to information on a 'need to know' basis, ensuring that privacy is protected. By allowing this efficient access, NXT 3 will enable Green Shield to enhance its ability to more efficiently handle day-to-day requests for claims information.
"Green Shield is always looking for ways we can improve service to our customers," said Gren MacDonald, VP Sales & Marketing of Green Shield Canada. "NXT 3 enables us to access the necessary information exactly when we need it. With our new solution from NextPage, customers will be better served."
With NXT 3, Green Shield can bring content into a virtual repository called a Content Network - a network of business-critical content that matters most to an individual or a company. Different formats of content, such as XML, HTML, Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and others, can be connected into the network, providing one virtual location for sales and claims representatives to access benefits information and client processes. This improved access will enhance Call Center efficiency, which will result in improved service for their clients.
Green Shield Canada, one of the largest health care benefit carriers in Canada, provides benefit coverage for more than 1 million participants and is Canada's only national not-for-profit health and dental benefits carrier. Its goal is to serve its clients and the public interest by providing the most efficient and effective health benefits programs at the most competitive prices.
"NextPage solutions provide companies with the ability to access information exactly when they need it," said Darren Lee, chief executive officer of NextPage. "Improved access to information leads to better, more accurate decisions that give better service to their customers. Green Shield's use of NXT 3 is a strong example of how NextPage technology improves professionals' ability to make the most accurate decisions in the most efficient manner."
In addition to improving access to information for Green Shield, NextPage technology provides appropriate security of information to protect sensitive data and adhere to privacy laws. NXT 3 allows Green Shield to set security restraints on what documents (or subdocuments) are allowed to be viewed and by whom. Also, NXT 3 provides security based on roles and rights, ensuring that only those who are authorized see the secured content.
Green Shield is beginning immediately to install NextPage's solution to its sales and claims departments. Over the next year, the company will roll out NXT 3 to other departments.
