DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 9, 2003
Clear Technologies is providing its IBM eServer iSeries customers that use its popular mid-market CRM application package -- C2 CRM -- with support for the DB2 data management system.
With the ability to use DB2 and Lotus Domino database management tools together in an integrated environment, C2 CRM customers will have greater scalability and flexibility for managing the application, as well as receive a variety of reporting tools for accessing C2 CRM information. eServer iSeries users also will be able to migrate to this new database management system dynamically, which saves customers time and money.
By supporting DB2, C2 CRM can read and write transactional data into a DB2 database and store unstructured data within the Domino database. This support is planned for the 2nd half of 2003 and users will be allowed to choose which data storage model they desire. If a new model is needed later the user will be able to select an option to use DB2 "on the fly" for its database manager, which will save the user time and money.
"The new DB2 support for C2 CRM gives companies unprecedented scalability. Our approach allows our customers to dynamically migrate to this feature providing them a significant value," said Mickey Patton, Executive Vice President of Consulting for Clear Technologies. "This gives C2 CRM customers immediate information regarding the status of a particular issue and it allows companies to offer top-level customer support to improve customer satisfaction."
The new module is particularly beneficial for iSeries customers or customers with very large customer databases to manage.
C2 CRM is designed to help mid-market companies increase organizational efficiency, strengthen customer loyalty, boost sales, improve business processes and increase marketing effectiveness. Accessible to everyone in the organization via the Web, C2 CRM offers instant access to critical customer and prospect information to enable users to maximize their opportunities and increase customer satisfaction.
"We're excited to offer this enhanced functionality which was based on the feedback of several of our mid-market customers," said Van Symons, President of the C2 CRM Division of Clear Technologies. "It offers much-needed database flexibility that typical small to mid-sized businesses demand."
Recently, C2 CRM received the "Product of the Year" award from Customer Inter@ction Solutions Magazine and ISM's Top 15 CRM Solutions Award and is in contention for several other major industry awards.
