SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2003

The San Francisco Marriott, a premier, 1,500-room convention hotel located in the heart of the city's South of Market (SOMA) district, is currently undergoing a $33 million renovation, with a targeted completion date of October 2003.

The hotel's guest rooms are undergoing a complete and stylish renovation. The new rooms are appointed with contemporary-style furnishings, art and amenities reminiscent of a modern, comfortable private home. The new guest rooms also feature sophisticated finishes in natural tones with bold textiles. Beds are adorned with luxurious down duvets and crisp linens, and furnishings are elegant and custom fit to each guestroom. All desks include laptop hook ups and high-speed internet access. The guest bathrooms have been redesigned to be bright and functional, with granite vanity tops, stone floors, accent millwork and framed vanity mirrors with custom decorative light fixtures.

"The San Francisco Marriott's hotel renovation is one of the most extensive of any Marriott property," said Kris Gagliardi, general manager, San Francisco Marriott. "The renovation allows us to enhance the overall guest experience, providing stylish and comfortable accommodations on par with that of any four-star hotel."

The award-winning San Francisco Marriott is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, adjacent to the Moscone Convention Center, the Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Gardens and just two blocks from Union Square.
