INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 13, 2003
Praxis Life Sciences and the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University today announced a working partnership to develop and deliver project management training for life sciences companies. The first result of this collaboration will be a non-degree certification program for information technology project managers in the life sciences.
Ken Jones, Managing Member at Praxis, said the company will provide project management, regulatory, quality, and compliance training using veteran consultants. Mike Sheahan, director of non-degree programs for the Krannert Executive Education Programs (KEEP), said Krannert professors will provide the business side of life sciences project management from the points of view of leadership, change management and strategic management.
"From our point of view, this is an opportunity to apply Krannert expertise and make a connection to the needs of a specific industry," Sheahan said. "In the bigger picture, this is the kind of public-private partnership that can contribute to economic growth and attractive life-science jobs in the state of Indiana."
"The combination of our experience with very large and complicated projects and Krannert's clear expertise in developing management talent means that we can deliver, both tactically and strategically, the skills and knowledge that project managers need to be successful," Jones said.
The Krannert School and Praxis expect to release details and registration information on the project management certification program before the end of August.
