into FrontLook Java Effects and FrontLook Page Effects

for Increased Functionality and Value

DPA Software, makers of FrontLook companion software for Microsoft FrontPage which extends its special effects capabilities, today announced an evolution in its product line. First, all 12 FrontLook products have been updated to operate with FrontPage 2003. Second, the company recently combined its special effects Series 1 (text effects, $20), 2 (image effects, $30) and 3 (text scroller and slideshow maker, $30) into FrontLook Java Effects, and its three animated DHTML effects, FX 1 ($30), 2 ($30) and 3 ($30), into FrontLook Page Effects. Each package is now available for $49.95 from www.frontlook.com.

FrontLook companions help create color-rich, animated web sites in minutes. They are for novice and small business web designers who aren't interested in learning the complexities of web programming, and for professionals who don't want to waste time customizing code when an add-in can do the job. They integrate directly into FrontPage, so designers point-and-click to preview and add content without ever leaving FrontPage, and without laborious cut-and-paste scripting.

FrontLook Java Effects:

Java Effects enables web designers to turn images and logos into animated "eye-candy" with more than 40 image processing effects, such as exploding fireworks, a glimmering body of water, spotlights and twinkles. Designers can also apply more than 20 motion effects and shadow or glow effects to text. A slideshow maker offers 30 image-to-image transition effects with VCR-like interactive controls, and a text scroller displays dynamic, multi-column scrolling messages. These applets support hyperlinks and sound triggers as well. Also included are 16 bonus applets, 90 FrontPage themes, 180 sound effects and 600 pieces of web art.

FrontLook Page Effects:

Page Effects enables designers to add excitement to web pages using more than 30 full-page animations such as falling leaves, snow or rain; ascending bubbles; swimming fish; bouncing balls and falling money, as well as follow a visitor's cursor with 25 cursor images. Designers can choose from 30 splashy web introduction pages with combined page, trailing cursor, and sound effects. Also included are 15 customizable design templates and 180 sound effects.

FrontLook Software Available as Trial Ware:

FrontLook System and Browser Requirements:

Users need a CD-ROM, 20 MB of space, Microsoft FrontPage 2000, 2002 or 2003, and Windows 98 or later. FrontLook software is compatible with Windows IE4 and Netscape 4.5 , and Macintosh IE 5.5 and Netscape 6 . Microsoft or Sun Java Virtual Machine is required for sound effects in Page Effects, and for both sound and visual effects in Java Effects.
