TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 6, 2003
The University of Advancing Technology (UAT) announced the accreditation and launch of 100% online bachelor's degree programs in game design and network security. With demand for degreed individuals in both industries growing at a tremendous pace, UAT is one of the few universities to offer the two bachelor's degrees in an online environment.
Video Game Design
With the video game industry surpassing the film industry in revenues last year, companies are looking for individuals who can jump right in. With several institutions recently launching game development programs, UAT has been named one of the top five game design schools in the country by Electronic Gaming Monthly and Game Pro magazines, and an industry leader in the field. The online program will make this world-class education available to those who cannot move to Arizona.
Students in UAT-Online game design programs will graduate with skills in 3D modeling and animation, game documentation, Maya, 3D Studio Max, game balance, interactive story telling, interface development and a lot more.
Network Security
With cyber crimes and hacking on the rise, companies have greater needs for resources to protect networks and valuable information. With very few degree programs available with a focus on network security, UAT-Online's program will give everyone interested in this field an opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree.
Students in UAT-Online net security programs will successfully be able to understand the range of vulnerabilities and threats and prevent hacker attacks through the use of firewalls, intrusion detection and VPNs.
UAT-Online is designed to foster the concepts and skills being taught to ensure immediate success. With a unique approach to online learning, the university teaches one class at a time for five weeks each to increase focus and retention.
The University of Advancing Technology is an ACICS-accredited private university located in Tempe, Ariz. Designed to bring faculty, students and industry leaders together in a unique environment, the university continues to serve as a leader in education and the latest technologies. The school offers associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees in multimedia, software engineering and technology commerce, as well as professional development training.
