Company's Senior Management and More Than 40 CU Executives
Discuss Technology, Member Retention, Service and
the Changing Regulatory Landscape
Open Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:OPEN), a provider of integrated enabling technologies for financial institutions, announced it hosted more than 40 credit union senior executives at the company's annual Credit Union Roundtable held in Dallas, Texas. The purpose of the meeting was for Open Solutions' senior management to meet with key leaders of the company's credit union clients to foster a greater degree of communication and solicit feedback and ideas on how the teams can work together even more effectively.
"Now is a critical time in the fiscal lives of many credit union members throughout the country," said Juli-Anne Callis, Sunnyvale, Calif.-based KeyPoint Credit Union's (formally AEA Credit Union) Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "Critical times for credit union members mean critical times for credit union executives. Some of the most pervasive thoughts discussed at the Open Solutions Roundtable centered on leveraging technology and relationships to create better financial products and services to heighten member satisfaction and retention. Open Solutions senior executives led discussions with ideas and technology-based strategies to promote increased market share for its credit union clients." KeyPoint Credit Union has been an Open Solutions client since 1999.
In addition to idea generation, attending credit union executives heard keynote addresses from Open Solutions Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr. and Scott Sommer, President and CEO, Cornerstone Advisors, Inc., who discussed industry trends and technology updates. Open Solutions also used the forum to gauge what credit union executives want in future technology applications, additions to the Open Solutions client service campaign and their impressions regarding the current marketplace for community financial institutions.
Open Solutions Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez, Jr. said, "Open Solutions is firmly committed to the credit union marketplace, and we believe that we have the true 'thought leaders' of the industry among our growing credit union client list. The Credit Union Executive Roundtable is an opportunity to get these 'thought leaders' together with our senior management team to share ideas and explore how to better meet the needs of our credit union clients as their needs change. We also continue to welcome new credit unions to the Open Solutions family as our list of progressive financial institutions continues to grow."
Open Solutions' relational core data processing suite was architecturally designed to be an open environment application, creating the flexibility necessary for running an agile, service-oriented institution. The system delivers real-time core processing, total account creation flexibility and embedded business intelligence capabilities.
"Open Solutions' client service initiatives are based on two-way communication between Open Solutions and the company's client base," continued Hernandez. "We developed the Open Solutions Credit Union Roundtable to get a better grasp of credit union executives' wants and needs. In addition, the Roundtable also presented a learning and networking opportunity for our clients, as well."
