FORT MYERS, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2003

SmartDisk Corporation today announced additional design features and capacities for its Rover compact portable USB data storage device that also acts as an MP3 player, FM radio and voice recorder. Small, lightweight, sturdy and versatile, Rover is simple and easy to use. The unit slides apart to plug directly into the USB port on a computer and is automatically recognized as a removable storage device. The user can then simply drag and drop any file type for quick data transfers or select music files for playback through the ear-bud style headphones. Rover holds up to 256 Megabytes of data or 4 hours of MP3 music and allows up to 12 hours continuous play from one AAA alkaline battery.

"The re-design of Rover incorporates a high-tech look with additional features like voice recording and an FM radio," says Charles Klinker, Vice President, Marketing for SmartDisk. "Its portability as well as capability make Rover the ultimate computer accessory."

Pricing and Availability

Rover is offered in two capacities: 128 Megabytes, at a suggested retail price of $129.99 and 256 Megabytes, for $179.99. Rover 128MB is now available through retailers and distributors, as well as through the Company's Web site at http://www.smartdisk.com. Rover 256MB will be available in January.
