TeamRTR's Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V will be a focal point of the Sports Car Club of America's display during the Performance Racing Industry trade show, Dec. 4-6, at the Indianapolis Convention Center.
Team owner and lead driver Peter Cunningham will appear with the race-winning car to sign autographs.
TeamRTR debuted the new Sentra in the SCCA's SPEED World Challenge Touring Car series last May. Within six races, Cunningham put the new car on the pole at Road America, led every lap and won the first World Challenge race for Nissan.
Cunningham, a six-time SCCA Pro Racing champion and defending Touring Car series champion, finished fourth in the 2003 season points.
Eric Curran, Cunningham's teammate in a second TeamRTR Nissan, drove in six of ten races and finished 18th in points with a season-ending podium finish in Puerto Rico. The duo led Nissan to a fourth place in the Manufacturer's Championship.
"Attendance and participation in the PRI show by racers, high-performance component manufacturers, and any company interested in capturing a share of the street and track performance market has shown amazing growth over the years," Cunningham said.
"It's great to be part of the SCCA's display at the show and emphasizes their awareness of the potential for incredible growth by those of us involved in the Touring Car Championship. The performance industry's focus used to be strictly on V-8 engines, but now, the tens of thousands of attendees at PRI will be exposed to a new generation of racing car. This championship is the one of the most competitive forms of road racing out there, and that's why Nissan chose it to showcase the Sentra."
The TeamRTR Nissan Sentra SE-R effort is sponsored by Nissan North America, Inc., NISMO, Red Line Oil, Eibach Springs, BOSCH, Sparco, Gemini Technologies, and Brembo.
