SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 2003
SKYY Vodka announced today that Taye Diggs, Gretchen Mol, Kyle MacLachlan and John Leguizamo will each appear in its forthcoming nationwide advertising campaign for 2003.
Entitled "SKYY Cinema," shot by noted fashion photographer Matthew Rolston, who's works have appeared in Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, the five-year anniversary campaign extends SKYY's commitment to independent film by featuring some of the most innovative talent working in movies today.
Each actor will "star" in highly stylized cinematic vignettes that reflect the brand's style and innovation and its integrated entertainment platform of film. The powerful visual presentation of the advertisements offer consumers a vivid and bold color palette with cinematic "Cocktail Moments" evoking the rich signature style of Rolston, who is also an accomplished music video director working with talent such as Madonna, TLC and Janet Jackson.
The glamorous images inspire consumers to create their own fantasy story. Taye Diggs (Chicago, The Best Man) will be featured in an advertisement entitled "Straight Up," while other cinematic shots entitled "Birds of a Feather," "Entourage," "Time Machine," "Bubble Lounge" will feature Kyle MacLachlan ("Sex and the City"), Gretchen Mol (Rounders) and John Leguizamo (Empire, Infamous).
"We are excited to be working level of talent on the fifth anniversary of the SKYY Cinema campaign which further showcases the brand's connection with the film community and a catalyst for great "Cocktail Moments" says Paul Fuegner, Vice President Marketing SKYY
In addition to consumer print and outdoor advertising created by agency Lambesis, SKYY Vodka, the first consumer product company to commission original content in the form of short films, is the vodka of choice at approximately 200 entertainment and film events in the United States and around the globe each year.
Currently, SKYY is sponsoring an innovative short film project, hoping to inspire first time filmmakers to pick up a camera and be part a unique cinematic project that may help launch them into the industry.
