STONEHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 2003
Percussion(R) Software, a leader in the content management market, and Buystream(R), a leading provider of Web analytic and reporting solutions, today announced a partnership to combine their content management and web analytics solutions.
While content management solutions have become essential for managing content rich web sites, it has been difficult to gain an understanding of how managed content performs. Increasingly content owners are looking to their content management systems to find out which content is most meaningful to which audiences. The integration of Percussion's Rhythmyx(TM) and Buystream Perspective solves this need directly.
Rhythmyx customers will now be able to manage their content efficiently while measuring its effectiveness. The unique advantage to this integration is providing the line-of-business users, rather than the technical users, with the statistics to make sure the right content is delivered to the proper audience. Armed with statistics on the meaningful content, Rhythmyx customers will be able to make the appropriate changes quickly using Rhythmyx' Active Assembly, the industry's only graphical layout tool for arranging content without technical assistance.
"An increasing number of our clients are asking for content analytics so they can begin to track the ROI of their online content," explained Vernon Imrich, CTO at Percussion. "Joining forces with an established analytics company like Buystream allows us to expand our offering and further demonstrate the ROI of our content management solution."
Buystream Perspective is built specifically for integration into content management systems. The template-driven structure of content management systems makes it easy to integrate Buystream's data-tag technology.
Content management systems tie an organization's internal labels or definitions to each piece of content through its templates. These labels define and identify how each piece of content fits into the organization's structure or way of doing business. Buystream's data collection technology, data tagging, automatically inherits information such as "author," "title," and "date" from each template. Buystream Perspective can then produce reports that enable business managers, content contributors and editors to understand how effective the content is in context of their business processes and desired outcomes.
"We are excited to be working with a leading vendor like Percussion," said Randy Woods, President and CEO at Buystream. "Connecting web analytics and content management for the enterprise lets companies close the loop and publish increasingly effective web sites."
