PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 20, 2003

Organizational Move Ensures Solid Direction

for Expanding Princeton Softech's Leading

Integrated Database Archiving Solutions

Princeton Softech, the pioneer and leader in the enterprise active archiving marketplace, today named David Kanof, Vice President of Product Integration. This organizational move positions Kanof to strengthen Princeton Softech's technology leadership as provider of integrated application-specific archiving software for database intensive applications like Amdocs ClarifyCRM(TM) and PeopleSoft(R).

"One of our key initiatives has been to develop strategic partnerships with enterprise software and storage vendors to capitalize on the market demand for active archiving technology," said Lisa Cash, CEO of Princeton Softech. "Kanof's appointment will enable Princeton Softech to accelerate development of application-specific, out-of-the-box solutions and expand relationships with storage vendors to solidify our leadership position in the active archiving market."

As Director of Software Development for the last six years, Kanof managed the design and development of Princeton Softech's industry leading database archiving and application testing tools for the open systems environment. In his new role, Kanof will evaluate partner opportunities for storage synergies and potential integration with Princeton Softech's technology, direct the team of individuals who will develop and test application specific archiving solutions, and work with Princeton Softech's development organization to manage the design and development of the enhancements needed to support Princeton Softech's integration initiatives.

Upon joining Princeton Softech over eight years ago, Kanof led the company's efforts to develop application data management and active archiving software for the open systems environment. Under his direction, the company delivered Princeton Softech's Relational Tools(TM) for Servers and Princeton Softech's Archive(TM) for Servers. Kanof consistently demonstrates tremendous technical capability and creativity, enabling Princeton Softech to deliver thought leading technology in the client server market, which is critical to the company's long term success. Prior to Princeton Softech, Kanof was a Development Director with Boole & Babbage, a worldwide leader in availability and service level management for distributed systems, where he directed the development efforts for a Distributed Systems Management product called CICSPlex(R) /SM under a contract with IBM.

About Active Archiving

Active archiving enhances the performance of production databases by setting aside infrequently used data; yet, keeping it "active" for easy access. Unlike traditional archiving and HSM programs that deal with entire files, actively archived data can be selectively restored one record at a time. In addition, the referential integrity of the data is maintained, which means the data relationships between records still exist (customer to orders, vendor to purchases, etc.). Archived data can be stored on the most cost-effective and appropriate storage medium allowing for easy access and reduced costs.
