HP and BEA Demonstrate Leadership in Application Integration at eWorld; HP to Show How Alliance with BEA Provides Choice, Interoperability and Cost Savings for Customers

HP (NYSE:HPQ) today announced its plans for BEA eWorld in Orlando, Fla., where a series of HP workshops and technology demonstrations will show how the company's alliance with BEA continues to provide customers with interoperable and cost-saving solutions on the IT platforms and operating systems of their choice.

HP Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carly Fiorina is scheduled to present a keynote speech March 3 at 9 a.m. EST. HP and Intel are sponsoring the "Big Convergence Party" slated for March 4 at 7 p.m. EST.

As global leaders in J2EE enterprise application integration, HP and BEA have long worked together to help businesses achieve an integrated enterprise that is adaptive, easily managed, cost-effective and reduces complexity. HP and BEA offer the widest choice of industry-standard platforms along with deep industry and technology expertise to deliver proven solutions that increase customer productivity.

HP plans to demonstrate the following solutions in its booth (No. 308):

-- HP Web Services Management Engine

-- HP Open View Transaction Analyzer

-- HP NonStop Solutions

-- ACMS -- BEA WebLogic Server TP Integration on HP OpenVMS

-- HP Work Load Manager with BEAWebLogic Server consolidated on HP-UX

-- BEA WebLogic Server on Linux

-- Performance Tuning BEA WebLogic Server Integration Analysis by HP Services.

HP also plans to demonstrate BEA WebLogic Server on HP's Itanium(R) 2-based servers, specifically on HP-UX in the Intel booth (No. 509).

In addition, HP spokespersons will be presenting in a series of breakout sessions including: Web Services Management -- Monitoring versus Mediation, "Which Architecture Fits Your Needs," and Java Performance Patterns.

Joint customer Bank of New York also will be presenting the results of its work with HP, BEA and Intel. HP also will give daily HP-UX Itanium presentations in the Intel Theater.

Dates and times in the exhibition hall at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center are scheduled as follows:

-- Monday, March 3, 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. EST

-- Tuesday, March 4, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. EST
