LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 2003
LJH Global Investments, LLC announced today the placement of the HP Falcon Partners (Cayman), Ltd. fund of hedge funds product onto the funds platform at Ansbacher Investment Services (AIS), a division of Ansbacher & Co. Limited in London that is wholly owned by South Africa-based FirstRand Bank Limited.
Since its inception on December 1, 2000, HP Falcon Partners (Cayman), Ltd. has invested in a select group of market neutral hedge funds on behalf of accredited individual and institutional investors. The minimum investment is $50,000 and the fund will be marketed to offshore buyers.
Ansbacher Investment Services (AIS) is a division of both Ansbacher & Co. Limited in London and Ansbacher (Channel Islands) Limited in Guernsey. It offers two multi-manager investment platforms, including the Ansbacher Personal Investment Portfolio, an advice-based multi-manager product that offers investors a range of risk-profiled portfolios that incorporate both long-only and alternative strategy funds. The second platform, called FundShop, enables qualified intermediaries to construct their own portfolios for each client, giving them access to in excess of 500 offshore mutual funds, alternative strategy and capital protected funds.
AIS distributes its fund platform through a network of predominately independent financial advisors who serve high net worth clients in the Channel Islands, Middle East, Caribbean and South Africa, and through Ansbacher's offices in London and a variety of offshore locations.
"LJH's new relationship with Ansbacher's wealth management group further demonstrates our firm's global presence and we look forward to future international joint ventures," said LJH's President and Chief Investment Officer James R. Hedges, IV.
"We are seeing a vast increase in demand for hedge fund exposure within our clients' portfolios and are pleased to be able to include the HP Falcon Partners (Cayman), Ltd. fund as part of our FundShop platform," said AIS Head of International Sales and Marketing Stella Pengilly.
