NANUET, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 2003
Vemics, an emerging leader in distance learning, today signed an agreement with Wire One that establishes Wire One's Glowpoint(SM), the first IP-based subscriber network dedicated to video communications, as the network of choice for users of Vemics' distance learning solution.
The only IP network dedicated exclusively to carrying video traffic, Glowpoint achieves last mile connectivity through a variety of solutions, including DSL. Vemics' agreement with Wire One promises to improve the quality, reliability and functionality of distance learning for Vemics users. An initial sale of Glowpoint circuits through the agreement has already been made to Seton Worldwide, the distance learning arm of Seton Hall University, which is working with Vemics to deliver continuing education and specialized training programs to corporations in the insurance, health care and financial services industries.
