Topspin Communications Wins Emerging Company of the Year Award at Server I/O Conference; Switched Computing Model Recognized with Top Honors

Topspin Communications announced today that it has received Strategic Research Corporation's Server I/O award for Emerging Company of the Year in I/O technology.
Topspin, the leader in switched computing, builds a programmable switching platform that allows data center managers to create virtual computers out of industry-standard server, storage, and networking building blocks.
The award was presented at a luncheon during this week's annual Server I/O conference and tradeshow, held at the Monterey Convention Center in Monterey, California. Topspin's products were showcased in its booth at the conference January 20-21.

Last week, Topspin introduced the newest product in its lineup, the Topspin 90 Switched Computing System, a 1U entry-level, intelligent InfiniBand switch with built-in expansion capabilities.
The Topspin 90 joins the flagship Topspin 360 in the industry's most complete switched computing solution, which includes integrated Ethernet and Fibre Channel gateways, a 10Gbps HCA with a full suite of upper-layer protocols, and an embedded management suite.
