Hampshire Group, Limited (NASDAQ:HAMP), announced today the successful completion of the installation of Gerber Technologies' WebPDM by its wholly owned subsidiary, Hampshire Designers, Inc., America's largest sweater company.
This product development application is designed to automate the complex process of designing, costing, adapting customer specifications and performing quality control on garments. More generally, Hampshire Designers has been reviewing and updating its technology to increase productivity and insure reliability and security. In the past year, it has improved its network security by installing an intrusion detection system, advanced virus protection and Cisco firewalls. Hampshire Designers has enhanced productivity in design areas by installing new workstations to work with CAD systems from Lectra, Colour Matters and Adobe. Old servers have been replaced and operating systems updated to the latest versions.
