What: The Best Buy Fun Zone, a mobile marketing and entertainment
destination, is available for media tours. The traveling Fun
Zone features:
-- The latest technology offered at Best Buy stores,
including products that create a state-of-the-art bedroom,
kitchen and high-definition home theater.
-- An interactive gaming area with video game pods featuring
the latest video game systems, and egg chair digital music
pods complete with interactive video screens.
-- An expandable stage for events.
The Fun Zone creates the environment of a fully-networked home
within the interior of the 53-foot trailer. A series of 14
monitors show the superior picture quality and clarity of
flat-panel LCD and plasma TV, using video streamed through an
advanced audio/video/Internet network. The Fun Zone also
features a touch-panel remote system that controls all of the
trailer's audio, video, Internet and lighting devices. Other
product highlights include a prototype refrigerator from
Whirlpool, a 50-inch wide-screen plasma TV from Pioneer,
Alienware computers and a satellite radio system from XM
Satellite Radio.
People who visit the NFL Experience can tour the Fun Zone to
experience all of the technology first-hand and discover new
ways to integrate the products into their lives, helping to
make their time more fun and productive.
Best Buy is also a sponsor of the Best Buy Super Bowl XXXVII
Concert Series featuring Eve and Goo Goo Dolls. The two
performances will take place at the South Embarcadero Marina
Park on Friday, Jan. 24 and Saturday, Jan. 25. Tickets are
available through Ticketmaster, SUPERBOWL.COM and
866-TIX-4NFL.
