KANATA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 27, 2003
Bridgewater Systems, a provider of IP network, service and access control solutions for service providers, today announced it has made RADCheck, a RADIUS test tool, available to service providers for download free of charge from its Web site.
RADCheck enables service providers to test and validate key aspects of their RADIUS server performance and functionality. Using the tool, they can generate load and measure RADIUS server performance (i.e. response time, number of timeouts, etc), track proxy RADIUS performance to maintain service levels, validate RADIUS server and policy changes before implementing them and synthesize RADIUS accounting requests to validate the correct operation of downstream systems, such as billing.
Related Results
RADCheck is a RADIUS client simulator that enables service providers to synthesize requests with their choice of RADIUS attributes, including vendor-specific attributes (VSAs). Requests are targeted at a RADIUS server under test, and the matching responses are provided for functional testing. To the target RADIUS server, RADCheck appears as one or more RADIUS clients, such as a NAS and PDSN.
"RADCheck provides service providers with an easy, no-cost and no-risk means to determine whether they are getting the most out of RADIUS," said Parham Momtahan, vice president, research and development for Bridgewater Systems. "Many service providers have already downloaded and received value from RADCheck and we encourage others to do so."
RADCheck CDMA Edition is also available from the Bridgewater Systems website. This version can simulate a PDSN to test Simple IP or Mobile IP scenarios as well as support the 3GPP2 dictionary of RADIUS attributes.
