In the fourth quarter of 2002 alone, Fairchild's power analog and power discrete sales grew 13% year-over-year, and the company gained significant power design wins in battery protection, DVD, game console, notebook, cell phone, plasma displays, peripherals and PDA applications. Additionally, during this same time, the company also recorded its 16th straight quarter with positive operating cash flow, and increased its balance sheet cash and marketable investments for the sixth straight quarter. In 2002, Fairchild shipped an all-time-high record number of units within all its product segments.
