IRMI(R) Receives Award from Business Insurance Magazine for
IRMI Online, a site powered by NXT(TM) 3
NextPage Inc., the leader in Content Networking, and International Risk Management Institute (IRMI), a leading publisher of risk management and insurance information, today announced that Business Insurance magazine has recognized IRMI Online as Best of Show in the educational/professional category in its 2002 Best of the Web Award competition. The Best of the Web Award was created in 2001 to recognize and promote excellence in Internet-based services for corporate risk and employee benefits executives.
The site, powered by NXT 3, provides IRMI the ability to deliver content updates immediately to end users, enabling users to receive the most accurate, up-to-date information at the moment they make decisions. With the NXT 3 solution, customers rely on IRMI content to help them reduce risk in decision-making.
"NextPage(R) technology has provided us with a significant competitive advantage -- we deliver the most reliable information to end users in the industry," said Jack P. Gibson, president of IRMI. "The award shows the quality of service our customers receive by using our online service."
The NextPage NXT 3 solution helps IRMI divide its site into different publications through the use of NXT 3's dynamic table of contents. This service allows IRMI Online subscribers to personalize the site to their needs, and customers can access and subscribe to only what they really need.
"IRMI is one of many customers that have created award-winning, online sites with NextPage technology," said Darren Lee, chief executive officer of NextPage. "Our solutions enable publishers to deliver content to their customers at the exact moment they need it and in the medium they desire."
NXT 3 also enables IRMI customers to view information in its native format, such as PDF, Microsoft Office, XML, HTML, Oracle databases and ODBC-compliant databases, through their Web browsers, giving users simultaneous access to diverse repositories of both structured and unstructured content.
IRMI Online provides direct access to the IRMI reference library over the World Wide Web. This reference library contains more than 22,000 pages (in print form) of risk management and insurance analysis, tactics and advice. Subscribing to the library online makes it available from any computer connected to the Internet, allows for instant updating by IRMI (as opposed to receiving pages through the mail to file in binders), and gives the user the ability to electronically search the references for answers to questions or solutions for problems.
Web sites designed primarily for the buyer of commercial insurance services were invited to submit their sites for award consideration. To be considered, entries were required to be freestanding sites on the World Wide Web, not private intranets or Web-enabled software. A panel of 10 independent judges reviewed and scored entries, judging such elements as functionality, interactivity, design, innovation and relevance to the buyer of commercial insurance services.
The award-winning site can be visited at http://www.IRMI-Online.com.
