GLEN ROCK, N.J--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 2003
RADVISION (NASDAQ: RVSN) today announced that its INVISION line of videoconferencing network appliances, rolled out in early November, has been named by INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine as a Product of the Year for 2002.
Unique in the industry, the INVISION family of products provides IT managers with plug-and-play devices that are easily ordered and deployed into any enterprise network for turn-key videoconferencing over IP and ISDN.
"RADVISION's driving goal has been to take videoconferencing infrastructure and make it simple to deploy and manage while providing the most advanced features and functionality in the industry today," said Gadi Tamari, CEO of RADVISION. "INTERNET TELEPHONY's designation of INVISION as one of its products of the year for 2002 reinforces our belief that this is a revolutionary product that will drive video-based communications into the enterprise by making a videoconferencing network easy to set up and administer right out of the box, something IT managers have told us that they need before mass adoption will occur."
"Network Appliance" is a general product category for standardized devices that are preconfigured, scaleable, and designed to be plugged into a network for easy deployment and management. INVISION features the full functionality of an entire IP/ISDN videoconferencing infrastructure, from centralized management and multipoint conferencing to gateway services and value-added applications, in an integrated, easy-to-order and easy-to-install device.
"Our Product of the Year award recognizes outstanding technologies and approaches to delivering and enabling next generation voice and video for service providers and enterprises," said Greg Galitzine, editorial director of INTERNET TELEPHONY. "There were many strong contenders this year for such an award but, in the area of videoconferencing infrastructure, RADVISION's INVISION videoconferencing network appliance was obviously one of those technologies that we see as having the potential to radically simplify what has, up to now, been a complex process of rolling out videoconferencing in the enterprise."
