SigmaTel Inc. announces that D-Major(tm) audio decoder technology is now available in the Classic MP6410 MP3 player being sold at retail stores and on-line.

Retailing at under $100, this player is helping push down the retail cost of digital audio players. The MPP6410 specifications are as follows:

-- Plays MP3 (MPEG-1 layer 3) files at all bit rates and sample rates

-- USB V1.1 interface for 500 kilobyte/second downloads

-- 64MB of internal flash memory, plus a SmartMedia socket for flash upgrades

-- Software drivers for Microsoft Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, & Mac OS9

-- Energy Saving Dynamic Power Management -- up to 12 hours with 1 AA battery
