TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2003

On July 28, 2003 Hudson Soft Co., Ltd will enter the mobile phone content service market in America by opening the Java(TM) compatible game site GameMaster for the AT&T Wireless (CEO: John D. Zeglis; Head Office: Washington; hereafter) mMode service. A total of five Java(TM) games will be available for download; Hudson's flagship brand Bomberman, plus Nutty's Tale, Planet Bowling, Cannon Ball and Klondike Solitaire.

The cost will be a fee per download, with Bomberman available for $5.99 and other titles costing $4.99. One or two new game titles will be introduced on the GameMaster site every month, including such Japanese fan-favorites as Adventure Island, and Star Soldier.

AT&T Wireless launched mMode, an Internet service for mobile phones in several US cities starting April 2002. NEC's new DoJa(TM) mobile handset 515 High Definition Mobile (HDM) will be released in the US on July 28, and Hudson will be providing unique new game content drawing on the technological expertise and know-how the company has built developing content for i-mode(TM).

Preceding the launch of this Java(TM) content service, AT&T Wireless placed a promotional billboard at the Seattle Mariner's home ground Safeco Field from May 6 to 8. On this billboard, screenshots from Hudson's Bomberman were shown alongside NEC's new mobile handset.

About Bomberman

Bomberman is an action game that has become synonymous with the Hudson brand. The first game, which was released in 1985 for the NES, went on to sell over one million copies. Boasting a simple and addictive game system where the player sets bombs to knock out enemies, the game's endless strategic possibilities made it a critical success. Multiplayer play has become the Bomberman series' forte, and over 40 titles have been released for most home console systems. In total, it has grown into a hugely popular series of over 10 million copies. There is also currently a version available for the NTT DoCoMo i-mode(TM) service.
