Alternative Rock Group 311 Climbing Alt Rock Charts;

Explosive Fourth Quarter To Feature Releases From Top Artists

Jive Records is celebrating the summer with 10 nominations for MTV's Video Music Awards to be held on August 28, 2003. Justin Timberlake has pulled in seven nominations: four for "Cry Me A River" and three for "Rock Your Body." Other Jive recording artists to receive nominations this year include Britney Spears, JC Chasez and R. Kelly (a complete list of Jive nominations follows the end of this press release).

In addition to the accomplishments Jive artists have enjoyed in the pop and R&B arenas, the label is proving its strength in other genres as well. Jive/Volcano recording artists, 311 have broken through on the R&R Alternative Top 50 chart, climbing to #10 this week. The label has also just released the debut album from Canadian rockers, Three Days Grace, who are currently on tour with Trapt and whose single, "I Hate Everything About You" is in heavy rotation on Fuse as well as climbing the R&R Active Rock and Alt Charts.

The label shows no sign of stopping this streak of success, with an amazing 4th quarter release slate highlighted by many of Jive's top recording artists, including greatly anticipated albums from Britney Spears, R&B crooner Joe, *NSYNC's JC Chasez, hip-hop pioneers Mobb Deep, pop sensation Aaron Carter, rap phenomenon Petey Pablo and multi-talented star of film and television, Nick Cannon. Also coming up from Jive are the compilations, "V-3: The Good, The Bad And The Ugly," featuring many of today's hottest hip-hop artists, as well as a greatest hits album from R. Kelly, "The R in R&B Collection, Volume 1."
