DESTIN, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 2003
AAA Missouri is teaming up with ResortQuest International, Inc. (NYSE:RZT), the nation's leading manager and marketer of vacation condos, homes and villas, to offer a special travel package for its members in parts of the Midwest and South driving to Destin and other parts of Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast for their summer vacations.
AAA Missouri, a local travel supplier covering Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Eastern Kansas, Southern Illinois and Southern Indiana, is now promoting stays in upscale vacation beach condos for rates starting at $125 a night in Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast. The "Destin-ation Getaway" package includes AAA discounts from Abbott Resorts, AAA TripTik, AAA Florida TourBook, a Resort Area Coupon Book, and a Silver Sands Outlet Mall Coupon Book. Members also have the opportunity to include a car rental from HERTZ in the package at special AAA "Drive and Play" value rates.
The special AAA discounts are good for vacation condominium rentals on Florida's Emerald Coast now through August 31, 2003. AAA Missouri will sell the "Destin-ation Getaway" package in its 30 travel offices across the Midwest, supported by specially designed collateral materials, as well as local newspaper advertising in the Club's primary markets.
"With more and more people driving to their summer vacation we are very pleased to continue to expand our marketing opportunities with AAA," said ResortQuest CEO Jim Olin. "The Midwest has always been a key market for us."
ResortQuest is already a Preferred Supplier to AAA Auto Club South, as well as AAA Auto Club Group of the Midwest. This new benefit for AAA Missouri members is effective immediately. "We are pleased to bring our members preferred rates from ResortQuest. Vacation rentals that are not timeshare are popular, especially with families, and ResortQuest is the leading company offering these kind of accommodations," said Sue Wells, Director of Travel for AAA Missouri. "Florida destinations, including Destin and Orlando, continue to be the number one area for TripTiks requested by club members."
For details AAA Missouri members should call or visit their nearest AAA office. Club members can also ask their AAA travel counselor for more information.
