2003-2004 School Year Agreement Provides Advanced Placement and

General Studies Learning Opportunities to Michigan Students

Michigan high schools will have access to Apex Learning's online courses, classroom resources and exam review products for the fourth consecutive year, as the result of a recently signed contract with the Michigan Virtual University (MVU), operator of the Michigan Virtual High School (MVHS). Through MVHS, Michigan high schools provide courses and learning resources students would not otherwise have access to at their schools.

"MVU was one of Apex Learning's first customers and we have worked together to realize the potential of online learning. During the last three years, the number of Michigan students using our online courses, curriculum resources and test preparation tools has grown in concert with our overall product offering," said Cheryl Vedoe, president and chief executive officer, Apex Learning. "We are proud to continue our collaboration to extend and enhance learning experiences for Michigan high school students."

Under the terms of the 2003-2004 school year agreement, Michigan students will have access to Apex Learning's online courses, including Advanced Placement* (AP)* and general studies courses. The agreement also offers teachers the opportunity to use the company's ClassTools line of online curriculum products. In the spring of 2004, Michigan students will once again have access to AP Exam Review to prepare for the high stakes College Board exams.

"Last year, MVHS was the leading provider of Apex's online learning products to Michigan schools and we are continuing to offer Apex Learning's online courses, curriculum resources, assessments and test preparation tools based on the high levels of success we have seen over the past three years," said David Spencer, president and chief executive officer, Michigan Virtual University. "We're pleased to continue to offer Michigan students access to these high quality learning experiences in concert with our virtual high school's training and support services."
