Who: Grammy- and Tony-winning performance artist Jim Dale will
read from the fifth book in the Harry Potter series.
Jim Dale recorded all five of the U.S. audio-versions of the
Harry Potter books.
What: Jim Dale reads a selection from the latest Harry Potter
book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," as well
as excerpts from the previous novels. Q&A session will
follow the reading. He will not be signing product.
When: Sunday, June 22, 2003, at 2:00 p.m.

Why: Jim Dale received a Grammy Award for his reading of the
fourth Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of
Fire," which was released in July 2000. Many Harry Potter
fans, both young and old, have found inspiration in Jim
Dale's audio interpretation of J. K. Rowling's books.
The fifth book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of
the Phoenix" goes on sale June 21. A record 8.5 million
copies were printed by Scholastic Inc. and Borders expects
the book to be the fastest-selling hardcover book in
history. The unabridged audio book version of the book is
being released on cassette and CD simultaneously. Listening
Library has printed a record 575,000 copies, marking this
the largest audiobook release in history.
