Charitable Fundraising Campaign Announced, Super Lawyer Cyclist to Fundraise for American Heart Association During the Seattle to Portland — STP — Bicycle Classic July 12 and 13, 2003

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 25, 2003
Prominent business and estate planning attorney, Livingston Wernecke, announced today that in appreciation of being named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics magazine, he will begin a fundraising campaign on July 1 for the American Heart Association for the Seattle To Portland Bicycle Classic (STP) and will encourage other Super Lawyers who plan to ride in the STP to do the same.
The 200-mile bicycle ride is the largest multi-day bicycle event in the Northwest, with up to 8,000 participants riding from Seattle to Portland in 1 or 2 days. Liv will match any contribution to the American Heart Association up to $50 by any person to a grand total of $2,500.
Liv, a 60-year old tax and estate planning lawyer at Betts Patterson Mines, chairs the Estate Planning and Probate Practice Group and also is a member of the firm's Business Practice Group.
The Super Lawyer honor is awarded to less than 5% of the attorneys in Washington state by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
