ALBANY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2003

Computer Education Services Corporation (CESC), a premier provider of vendor authorized technical training, today announced the acquisition and merger of I/Tech Services, Inc., a recognized leader in public and private college training partnerships.

The merger creates one of the largest technology training providers in the United States.

Headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, I/Tech packages and administers primarily Microsoft and CompTIA based certification training through the continuing education divisions of two and four year colleges, with over 100 educational partnerships in 30 states. CESC, which provides advanced systems training through instructor-led, computer-based and online training, has 11 certification training centers located in New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina and Florida. I/Tech's college partnerships are located across the continental US, with heavy concentration in the East and Midwest, complimenting CESC's east coast presence.

"The merger of I/Tech with CESC is part of our ongoing evolution to meet the demands of a changing industry and a challenging economy." said Lorraine Ferguson, president and CEO of Computer Education Services Corporation. "Customers tell us daily that they need an experienced training partner that can provide cost effective, relevant and flexible training solutions."

The two companies will combine their operations under the CESC name, and retain the I/Tech brand, which is well established in the community college market. The business relationships of each company will continue as they are today, with existing customers of both companies realizing a more robust offering of training programs available through a comprehensive choice of delivery channels and markets. The combined company will offer the latest technology training through numerous established vendor partnerships, which include Microsoft, Novell, IBM, Oracle, CompTIA, ElementK, KnowledgeNet, Boston University, Golden Consulting, ProSoft, and SCP.

"This strategic merger will leverage the low-cost facility operating structure of I/Tech with the training delivery capability of CESC to economically expand market coverage," said Don Jungerman, CEO, I/Tech Services, Inc., "and meet our customer demand for additional training offerings."

The power of this merger is in the combined training center/college partner integration. This model will enable training centers to grow classrooms without the cost associated with "brick and mortar." The merger provides the combined company a streamlining of business processes, reductions in overhead costs, and the ability to leverage the customer and partnership contacts of both companies to drive additional market presence, share and revenue.
