New NMR Software Environment Streamlines and Integrates Multiple
Functions and Applications for Increased Productivity and Ease of Use
Bruker BioSpin Corporation introduces TopSpin, a unified NMR software solution for data acquisition, processing and analysis that features a streamlined intuitive user interface. TopSpin leverages several new technologies: it is JAVA-based and can operate under both Windows and Linux environments. TopSpin also incorporates CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) technology, allowing multiple NMR instruments to be linked over a network, for remote operation and monitoring.
A high degree of flexibility allows users to customize TopSpin. Multiple, adjustable windows enable the simultaneous presentation and comparison of several data sets. Drag-and-drop operations for data selection and an interactive editor for data output reduce the learning curve for new users.
TopSpin also provides specialized wizards for structural biology applications, and features virtual spectrometer teaching tools. It can be integrated with Bruker BioSpin's SampleTrack(TM) laboratory management program.
"By unifying so much functionality in one software environment, TopSpin ushers in the next generation of NMR productivity and ease of use," explained Dr. Clemens Anklin, Vice President of Applications and Training for Bruker BioSpin. "As the use of NMR expands into new applications, it is important that the software become even more intuitive and productive."
The easy-to-use TopSpin program is ideal for both experienced and new users. Features such as detailed Help buttons and a built-in, step-by-step Processing Guide take beginners and casual users through the program.
