IT Media Company and Number-One
Provider of IT Product and Service Directories to Give TechTarget

IT media company TechTarget and KnowledgeStorm, the top provider of IT product, service and market information on the Web, today announced a partnership to develop the Web's richest directory of IT product and service information.

The TechTarget SolutionCenter directory will be powered by KnowledgeStorm and deployed across the TechTarget network of targeted IT Web sites, as well as in KnowledgeStorm directories syndicated on some of the highest-traffic business-to-business sites on the Web.
KnowledgeStorm currently provides the most comprehensive source of business software and product information on the Web, powered by technology that enables IT professionals to research and compare IT solutions, develop "short lists" of products and services, and request additional information from IT vendors. TechTarget publishes the most targeted media for enterprise IT professionals, including the only network of Web sites targeted to 18 specific sectors of the IT market.
The partnership will enable KnowledgeStorm to expand its reach across TechTarget's vast audience of IT professionals and increase its traffic beyond the half-million monthly visitors KnowledgeStorm currently enjoys. With its membership of more than two million enterprise IT professionals, TechTarget has the potential to be the largest single contributor of traffic to the KnowledgeStorm network. In addition, the two companies agree to enhance the existing KnowledgeStorm product and service directory with additional technology categories covered by TechTarget media, for example hardware and storage.
TechTarget and KnowledgeStorm will begin a site-by-site rollout of the KnowledgeStorm-powered TechTarget SolutionCenters in April 2003. The companies have scheduled the network-wide rollout for completion by second quarter of this year.
TechTarget SolutionCenters Allow IT Advertisers to Reach IT Pros
at the Right Time, in the Right Place
The TechTarget SolutionCenters will place IT products and services directly in front of IT decision-makers, precisely at the time they are researching potential IT purchases. With KnowledgeStorm, the SolutionCenters will enable IT professionals to initiate contact with vendors, providing their contact and qualifying information and allowing them to download additional information. Such buyer-initiated interactions are shown to have up to five times the conversion rate of traditional marketing methods.
TechTarget SolutionCenter Advertisers Gain Benefits of Targeting
and Reach
By adding the KnowledgeStorm-powered SolutionCenters to its portfolio of high-ROI lead-generation and branding vehicles for IT vendors, TechTarget offers SolutionCenter advertisers immediate exposure across the TechTarget network, as well as on KnowledgeStorm partner sites around the Web. Currently, KnowledgeStorm directories are syndicated to myriad Web sites, including such high-traffic portals as Yahoo!, Hoover's, and Inc.com. As a result, TechTarget SolutionCenter advertisers will benefit from the targeted precision of TechTarget's advertising as well as the broad reach of portal sites like Yahoo! and Inc.com.
"IT professionals turn to TechTarget to make informed decisions about their jobs, including the purchase of billions of dollars in hardware, software and services," said Don Hawk, president of TechTarget. "TechTarget's partnership with KnowledgeStorm will enable us to enhance our networks with the most comprehensive directory of IT product and service information on the Web, making the TechTarget SolutionCenters a top destination for IT professionals in search of IT solutions and a powerful lead-generation vehicle for IT advertisers."
"Gone are the days of branding for branding's sake and swiping random trade show badges. Technology marketers want relevant and differentiated branding, as well as buyer-initiated leads," said Kelly H. Gay, chairman, president and CEO of KnowledgeStorm. "KnowledgeStorm and TechTarget together deliver the goods marketers need for success--ROI, leads and measurable results. With its qualified membership of more than two-million enterprise IT professionals, TechTarget will be one of the largest contributors of traffic to KnowledgeStorm and a bountiful source of qualified leads for technology companies listing with KnowledgeStorm."
