(CA). The two products enable VSE customers to easily and cost-effectively leverage virtual tape solutions for improved storage management efficiency and data asset protection.

BrightStor CA-Dynam/T provides single-point control of tape processing and data set management. Bus-Tech's Mainframe Appliance for Storage (MAS) is a System/390 Virtual Tape Controller providing ESCON connection to System/390 class mainframes and UltraSCSI, Fibre Channel or Gigabit Ethernet connection to open-systems storage. Tape files written from the mainframe to the MAS are stored on open-system disks, providing the customer enhanced backup/disaster recovery, open-systems data exchange, and improved operational efficiency through the elimination of physical tape.
