AirScoot Model Helicopter `Flies' into Japan; New Radio-Controlled Helicopter, Popular in the U.S., Now Available To Growing Japanese Model Aircraft Market

Business Wire, March 23, 2003

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 24, 2003

In response to the growing demand for model aircraft in Japan, U.S.-based AirScooter Corporation (www.airscoot.com) today announced a new marketing initiative making its popular new AirScoot(TM) model helicopter available immediately to the Japanese market.

AirScoot is an electric RC (radio-controlled) coaxial hobby helicopter that provides the casual hobbyist a new level of simplicity in assembly and flight, even indoors. AirScoot's coaxial rotor design makes it easy to master.

AirScoot comes at a breakthrough introductory price of $846 (U.S.). The tough and durable AirScoot includes a 10-cell battery pack, metal-geared servos, a piezo gyro, high-end speed controller and a 340-watt Cobalt motor. A complete AirScoot ready-to-fly package also includes a Hitec transmitter and receiver and the Hitec 10-cell peak charger for $995. AirScoot is currently available and can be purchased direct at www.airscoot.com.

Virtually Assembled

The AirScoot comes almost completely assembled, ideal for those who want to enjoy hobby flying, but lack the time to build a model from hundreds of small parts.

AirScoot assembly is quick and easy, normally requiring less than one hour. Other models on the market typically require 20 to 30 hours or more to put together, and many components must be purchased separately or upgraded at added cost.

"I was very impressed by the quality of the components employed in AirScoot. AirScoot is durable and easy to fly out of the box," said Pat Gray, member of the Hi-Sky Radio Control Club, Midland, Texas.

"We believe AirScoot offers the excitement of hobby flying to a large audience put off by the complexity of the hobby world. AirScoot also makes an ideal gift item," said Dwaine Barnes, AirScooter Corporation president.

AirScoot's compact size and clean, "whisper quiet" electric power make it extremely easy to transport and to fly anywhere. The two-bladed, dual main rotor diameter is 711 millimeters. AirScoot's total height is 378 millimeters, and the weight is 1.87 kilograms.

In addition to being able to order AirScoot at www.airscoot.com, customers can access assembly instructions, technical support, flight tips, product specifications and order replacement parts.

About AirScooter Corporation
