American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that AIG Specialty Auto, a division of American International Companies, has been renamed AIG Agency Auto to better convey the unit's commitment to the independent agency distribution channel.
AIG Agency Auto currently delivers insurance products covering private passenger automobiles and motorcycles through a network of more than 9,000 agents in 30 states.
"This name change will more precisely communicate to independent agents that AIG Agency Auto is their point of contact for a variety of innovative automobile insurance solutions.
