Siebel Systems Listed as Sole Leader Quadrant Vendor in EMEA
Sales Magic Quadrant for the Third Consecutive Year
Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEBL), today announced that it has again been listed in the Leader quadrant in Gartner's EMEA Sales Applications Magic Quadrant 1H03 report.(1) Gartner evaluated and listed 18 CRM vendors based on their ability to deliver a broad range of fully integrated, multichannel sales applications that address the needs of organizations of all sizes across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Siebel Systems is the only vendor listed in the Leader quadrant for the third consecutive year, reflecting the company's depth of product functionality and heritage of proven CRM success in the sales organizations of the world's leading enterprises.
According to Gartner, "to be included in the EMEA Sales Applications Magic Quadrant, a vendor must have a clear understanding of the requirements of the various EMEA marketplaces and a proven ability to deliver in these geographies."(2) Siebel Systems' position as the sole Leader quadrant vendor in the Gartner Magic Quadrant confirms its standing as the vendor best able to provide proven sales solutions in the region. Siebel Systems considers its Leader quadrant position a direct result of the company's strong financial management in 2002, its volume of proven, large-scale implementations in multiple countries, and the breadth and depth of the company's third-party consultant alliances in the region.
Siebel Systems' Proven Sales Solutions Drive Leader Quadrant Position
To be included as a Leader in the EMEA Sales Applications Magic Quadrant, CRM vendors must provide multiple, successful global deployments with proven ROI; offer complete and industry-specific functionality for sales execution, operations, and analytics; and demonstrate compelling future vision. Specifically, vendors must generate at least $50 million revenue in EMEA; provide at least 40 regional customer references; offer more than a hundred trained, professional, service personnel; possess distribution and support capabilities across the region; and incorporate a Web-based architecture.(3)
"Siebel Systems' position as the sole Leader quadrant vendor in this EMEA Sales Applications Magic Quadrant is further proof of our ability to increase sales effectiveness for hundreds of customers across EMEA," said Phill Robinson, Vice President, European Marketing and Alliances, Siebel Systems. "Siebel Systems pioneered the concept of the multichannel CRM sales system and continues to set the sales applications standard. When companies need sales force efficiency and effectiveness, they turn to us."
