CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2003
Bally Total Fitness (NYSE: BFT) and Jive Records recording artist Justin Timberlake announced today that they have teamed up on a new campaign, featuring the singer's new hit Rock Your Body.
The song is the third single from Timberlake's solo debut CD "Justified."
Starting this week, Bally will launch the 30-second spot throughout the United States. Rock Your Body creatively blends clips from Timberlake's performance of the song with footage of health conscious individuals as they train and work out. The commercial will air in heavy rotation for six weeks on all major networks. In addition, Bally will introduce the "Rock Your Body" Member Referral program, a promotional program which will make the sponsorship come alive in the Bally clubs. Through this program, Bally's four million members will be able to earn free dues for sponsoring new members.
"As a Bally member for several years, Justin is a terrific fit for Bally and our consumers and continues to positively connect with our core demographic of young, athletic consumers,'' said John Wildman, senior vice president, marketing, Bally Total Fitness Corporation.
"His spirit, talent and passion continue to inspire people everywhere to exercise and renew their commitment to health and fitness and we're proud to have him on our team."
