Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced that it will join Microsoft in launching Windows Server 2003 as an official platinum-level sponsor in San Francisco, Calif. on April 24, 2003. In sponsoring the worldwide launch, Citrix continues its commitment to supporting the Microsoft platform as a Microsoft Global Gold Certified Partner for Software Products, the highest level within the Microsoft Certified Partner Program. Supporting Windows Server 2003, Citrix(R) MetaFrame XP(TM) Presentation Server simplifies deployment of .NET-enabled applications to virtually any client device across any network connection and provides secure, easy access to .NET-enabled applications, services and content.
"We appreciate the strong support that Citrix has committed to Microsoft in the past, and we're pleased that Citrix has signed on as a platinum sponsor of the Windows Server 2003 launch," said Steve Bauman, general manager of ISV Ecosystems at Microsoft. As a platinum sponsor, Citrix will play a highly visible role during the many activities that Microsoft has planned around the launch, most notably during the worldwide launch event in San Francisco, where Windows Server 2003 & Visual Studio .NET 2003 will be unveiled for the first time. Throughout April and May, in conjunction with Microsoft's 120 city road-show, Citrix will also join Microsoft for select U.S. and international events scheduled in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington D.C., among other domestic and international locations.
In addition to Citrix, Microsoft's worldwide launch event is co-sponsored on the platinum level by a number of other industry leaders, including Accenture, AMD, Avanade, Borland, Crystal, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, IBM/Rational, Intel, Legato, Siebel, Unisys and Veritas.
