Joint Customers Can Now Comply with Industry Requirements for
Simplified and Secure Access to Mission Critical Information
NetManage, Inc. (Nasdaq:NETM), experts in host access and integration solutions, and Cal Data Systems, Inc., a premier provider of technical services and consulting solutions, today announced a partnership in which the two companies will work together to fulfill the growing demand for NetManage's OnWeb(R). OnWeb is a server-based software solution that allows companies to quickly Web-enable host applications and business processes, without the high cost of rewriting or changing back-end legacy systems. The two companies will focus on organizations such as educational, energy and healthcare institutions that need to rapidly respond to security mandates and policies requiring simplified and streamlined access to mission critical information. These industries are well suited for NetManage's host access and integration solutions, which enable users to quickly, securely and cost-effectively retrieve and update information residing in disparate mainframe systems. Cal Data Systems and NetManage will leverage similar strengths including, holistic technology consulting, solid systems integration practices and the ability to provide customers with solutions, which allow them to effectively adapt to changing industry requirements.
"To ensure consistent compliance with evolving industry standards, organizations often need to make critical information locked in mainframe systems accessible to new users on the fly. This means they also need to ensure their IT infrastructure is flexible enough to accommodate future changes in regulations or requirements," said Linda Gladden, vice president of Indirect Sales and Business Development at NetManage. "Our partnership with Cal Data Systems will provide our customers with the technical expertise they need to automate and Web-enable legacy systems, while ensuring that their IT investment reflects their greater business goals."
Cal Data Systems and NetManage will focus on helping customers quickly adopt technologies that streamline their processes, while making the most of their existing IT infrastructure. Cal Data Systems offers a mixture of high-end consulting, project management, on-site and outsourcing support combined with a strong expertise in security and Web integration technologies. They also offer deep domain expertise in leading technologies that are complementary to OnWeb, including Microsoft, Novell and Sun.
"The industries we serve need to overcome technology barriers that limit their ability to securely and quickly access and extend critical information over the Web," said Geno Callens, president of Cal Data Systems, Inc. "NetManage's OnWeb is the only solution available in the market today that meets customer requirements for connecting their legacy systems with Web-based initiatives. Its non-invasive ability to Web-enable legacy applications without disrupting existing systems offers a powerful way for companies to incorporate Web functionality into their business processes, streamline operations and increase productivity levels."
While both NetManage and Cal Data Systems serve several vertical industries, the partnership will initially focus on mid-size and large enterprises in the oil/gas, healthcare and education sectors.
