BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 4, 2003
CS REMOTEmanager(TM) speeds up e-mail management with a new Web-based
management console accessible via PC, PDA or mobile phone
Clearswift, the world's leading provider of software for managing and securing electronic communications, today announced CS REMOTEmanager(TM), a Web-based management and administration console for CS MAILsweeper(TM) for SMTP.
CS REMOTEmanager allows multiple, remote e-mail administrators to investigate and release quarantined CS MAILsweeper e-mails at the same time. It significantly reduces both the time it takes to process blocked e-mails in quarantine and the administrative overhead involved.
CS REMOTEmanager introduces anywhere, any time administration for CS MAILsweeper through its intuitive Web-based interface. Its ingenious Dashboard presents a single view of all the "vital signs" an administrator needs to access in order to manage CS MAILsweeper e-mails effectively -- all from one screen.
These vital signs include:
-- Status of CS MAILsweeper(TM) e-mail receiver, delivery and security services -- Number of e-mails processed -- Number of unchecked items -- Number of checked items -- Number of e-mails in each quarantine area -- E-mail queues -- CPU, memory and disk usage
By replacing the default single-user Microsoft Management Console (MMC), CS REMOTEmanager allows organizations to devolve the management of message areas to the relevant authorized parties, which might include help desk teams and human resources departments. Remote access to the Dashboard can be achieved through PC, PDA or mobile phone -- providing comprehensive mobility for e-mail administrators.
CS REMOTEmanager is based on technology developed by software innovator Extend Technologies for its BEAP range of remote application management adapters. CS REMOTEmanager is fully interoperable with the BEAP platform, allowing administrators a single point of management for multiple applications in the messaging system.
CS REMOTEmanager is a fully integrated plug-in to CS MAILsweeper for SMTP.
"At Clearswift, we continuously strive to deliver products which not only provide the best content security available today, but also enable our users to achieve greater efficiency. Working with Extend Technologies, we have analyzed the most common tasks performed by CS MAILsweeper administrators, and created a performance tool which will enable them to execute all routine tasks from one single screen. By enabling multiuser e-mail administration through a single management dashboard, we are providing a significant productivity boost to all our MAILsweeper for SMTP customers," said Paul Rutherford, chief marketing officer, Clearswift.
