Quest Software Provides Staples Heterogeneous Database Management with Quest Central Product Line

Quest Software Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT), a leading provider of application management solutions, today announced that Staples Inc. is using Quest Central(TM) to help manage its heterogeneous database environment.

With a growing database environment Staples' database administrators (DBAs) were finding it increasingly difficult to manage daily maintenance tasks on all of their databases (Oracle, DB2 UDB and SQL Server). To efficiently manage a range of data, from human resources, to financials, to marketing and promotional data, Staples required a database management product that could scale and help the DBA staff manage their entire heterogeneous environment.
