TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 2003

Integrated Information Systems ("IIS") (OTCBB:IISX), a leading provider of secure integrated information solutions, today announced that IIS recently completed the upgrade of SafeBack 3.0, for Gresham, Ore.-based New Technologies Inc. ("NTI"). SafeBack is a software tool that is used to preserve computer evidence. The original version of SafeBack is used by all major U.S. military agencies, U.S. intelligence agencies and by thousands of law enforcement agencies worldwide.

"Since 1990, SafeBack has been the industry standard in making evidence grade bit stream backups," said NTI company President Michael R. Anderson. "IIS has done an excellent job in upgrading this new generation of computer forensics software and incorporating the SHA256 hashing algorithm approved by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Strengthening the hashing algorithm will ensure the utmost level of accuracy as law enforcement, military and corporate information security professionals investigate computer crimes on today's large hard disk drives as well as drives that will be developed in the future." Anderson also said, "The original design has been retained but enhancements will provide law enforcement agencies and other government agencies with a tool that is more accurate and operates at a faster rate of speed."

NTI was the first corporation to introduce computer forensics training and software to Fortune 500 corporations and Big 5 accounting firms in 1996. Since that time, NTI has also provided significant support to the U.S. military, U.S. intelligence agencies and law enforcement departments. The FBI, CIA, NSA and IRS are among the nearly 8,000 customers NTI serves in all 50 states and countries throughout the world. Both IIS and NTI, proven leaders in their respective industries, have recently formalized their partnering relationship concerning SafeBack and other tools that will aid law enforcement and military agencies in the War on Terror.

"We are pleased and honored to be able to provide value to NTI and their clients. We are confident that the SafeBack 3.0 product will provide corporations and law enforcement agencies in the United States and its allies with a powerful tool to help fight the war against terror and computer crimes. We look forward to an enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with NTI," said Jim Garvey, chairman, chief executive officer and president of IIS.
