BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 2003

Hard on the heels of the announcement of the release of a new Steely Dan album comes news that the legendary duo will respond to overwhelming demand by adding additional dates to their upcoming U.S. tour.

Titled "Everything Must Go," Steely Dan's new album is set for release on Reprise Records June 10th and is the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2002's "Two Against Nature," a Grammy winner for Album of the Year. Early reviews of "Everything Must Go" have been nothing short of ecstatic.

According to Request, which gave the album a four and a 1/2 star review, "The joyfulness of `Everything Must Go' is a pleasant surprise. Becker and Fagen have never been more positive musically. The results are intoxicating." Stuff enthuses, "On the duo's new album, `Everything Must Go,' the dapper Dan plays not only the kind of polished jazz-rock we expect, but also funky-fresh jams and some soulful blues." The prestigious downbeat put it this way: "Two years ago, they broke off the retirement they announced after 1979's `Gaucho' with `Two Against Nature,' showing them to be in top form, picking up where they left off. Ditto for the brilliant new album, `Everything Must Go.'"

The new album will be available in three different versions. The first features all the music, while the second Special Edition Combo Pak also includes a 22-minute DVD with Walter Becker and Donald Fagen's guided excursion through the streets of Las Vegas with Rita, the city's most famous cabdriver. Titled "Steely Dan Confessions," the duo encounters show girls and other local delights. "Everything Must Go" will also be released on DVD Audio, featuring a special 5.1 stereo mix, and a 13-minute version of "Steely Dan Confessions" viewable from the disc. All three albums will be in stores June 10.
