MIDDLETOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 29, 2003
The superhero that was created in comic books, grew into a television favorite and will soon break out on the big screen will also be featured on a Pennsylvania Lottery instant ticket.
The new $2 HULK instant ticket will go on sale Tuesday, June 3, 2003, in anticipation of the Friday, June 20, 2003 premiere of Universal Pictures' HULK, the movie. HULK debuts along with two other new instant games from the Lottery: SIZZLING 7s and BONUS 3s.
Fans of The Hulk will love the new HULK ticket, which features the Universal Pictures' movie logo and a top prize of $12,000. Players simply match YOUR NUMBERS to the HULK NUMBERS for eight chances to win on each ticket.
HULK offers over $4.2 million in cash prizes, and the overall odds of winning a prize are 1-in-3.57.
The release of the Pennsylvania Lottery's new HULK instant ticket is tied to the national premiere of HULK, the movie. Acclaimed director Ang Lee directed a blockbuster cast in this modernization of an old favorite. Players will be able to take a piece of the movies home with them, as the HULK instant tickets feature official Universal Pictures images of the Hulk.
Pennsylvania is one of only four Lottery jurisdictions that will offer HULK tickets - Colorado, Iowa, and Mexico will also offer versions of the game.
The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state Lottery that designates all of its proceeds to benefit older citizens.
Since inception 31 years ago, the Lottery has contributed $13 billion to programs that have expanded to include property tax and rent rebates, free and reduced fare transit for older Pennsylvanians, a co-pay prescription drug program (PACE and PACENET) and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including 650 full- and part-time senior centers, located throughout Pennsylvania.
Players must be 18 years of age or older.
