Music Publishing News: Windswept Classics & Itochu Corp. Acquire Trio/Quartet Catalogs From Leiber/Stoller In Mid-Eight Figure Deal

Windswept Classics, Inc. and Itochu Corporation have acquired the Trio Music and Quartet Music catalogs from Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller in a mid eight figure deal, it was announced today by Evan Medow, CEO of Windswept Holdings LLC.

Trio/Quartet's copyrights include "Fever," "What A Wonderful World," "It's In His Kiss," "Happy Together," "Be My Baby," "Do Wah Diddy Diddy," "Cool Jerk," "The Twist," "Under The Boardwalk," "River Deep, Mountain High," "Do You Believe In Magic," and almost 20,000 other titles including the music publishing rights to the scores of many hit Broadway shows including "Godspell."

Leiber and Stoller will continue to own and operate Leiber & Stoller Music Publishing, home to their spectacular catalog of hits including, "Jailhouse Rock," "Stand By Me," "Kansas City," "Love Potion #9" and most of the songs from the smash Broadway review, "Smokey Joe's Cafe."
