Millennial Net, Inc., the leading developer of self-organizing, wireless sensor networks, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of Thomas M. Cunneen as vice president of sales.

In this capacity, Cunneen will focus on strengthening Millennial Net's sales distribution network, as well as identifying potential partners and customers for the company's ultra-small, ultra-low power, wireless sensor i-Beans(TM).

"Tom is a great addition to the Millennial Net team," said Tod Riedel, co-founder and president of Millennial Net. "His industry experience and knowledge of the sensor applications space coupled with his semiconductor background will be a valuable resource to our customers."

Cunneen has more than 20 years of leadership experience working with advanced technology products, predominantly in executive sales and marketing roles. Prior to joining Millennial Net, he served as vice president of sales and marketing at Clare Inc., a leading supplier of advanced telecom integrated circuits. Before Clare, he was vice president of marketing and sales at MEMSIC, a start-up company focused on MEMS inertial sensing technology. Cunneen has a solid track record of successfully growing leading-edge technology companies.

"I saw the Millennial Net opportunity as the chance to be involved with a company whose technology, both software and hardware, will shape what is an emerging market in the wireless networking space," said Cunneen. "The Millennial Net solution provides a very robust platform for wireless sensor networking. I see the company becoming a technology leader in the 802.15.4 arena, and I wanted to be part of it."

Millennial Net's premier product, the i-Bean, is an extremely small and very low power self-organizing wireless sensor networking device which has immediate utility in hundreds of industrial, medical, consumer and military applications.
