UK market leader relies on eHealth(R) Suite for proactive

management of extensive data communications network

Concord Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: CCRD), a recognized leader in optimizing application availability and performance across networks and systems, today announced that its flagship product, the eHealth(R) Suite, has been selected by O2 UK to manage the service provider's data communications networks.

As the UK market leader in mobile data services, O2 UK relies on Concord's eHealth Suite to be an integral part of the company's Operational Support Systems (OSS) framework that manages the overall infrastructure. This growing infrastructure currently supports 12 million customers in the UK alone that collectively transmit over a half billion messages per month.

"In the competitive mobile communications arena, the key to sustaining and expanding your customer base is by providing new and differentiated services across various communication platforms without compromising quality," said David Akeroyd, OSS Strategist, O2. "O2's ability to provide consistent service quality to its customers depends on key systems, such as Concord's eHealth Suite for proactive data infrastructure performance management, trending, and capacity planning."

O2's primary service offerings accommodate distinct personal and business communications needs. O2 services include SMS and MMS messaging, voicemail, and paging, as well as supporting mobile devices such as the BlackBerry(R) wireless handheld and the XDA II(R) from O2, O2's mobile enabled PDA. The O2 network also supports downloadable games in addition to video, ringtones, and images from widely recognized UK TV programs such as Channel 4's "Big Brother."

"Concord's success at O2 is a result of our commitment to understanding the unique needs of our customers and, in turn, their customers," said Nigel Pugh, UK country manager, Concord. "O2's selection of Concord is further evidence of the eHealth Suite's strength and ability to enable O2 to immediately respond to changing customer requirements without impacting service quality."
